Auto-PICT™ QT is animation software that frame accurately records and captures PICS, PICT and QuickTime movies to and from videotape and videodiscs. This new version retrieves and stores Auto-PICT™ QT record/capture lists and allows you to preview the pictures and movies before adding them to the list. Version 2.0 also supports the Adobe Premiere™ timecode resource.
Auto-PICT requires System 7, QuickTime and any V-LAN compatible controller.
This read me describes the initial registration and initialization of your Auto-PICT™ QT animation & digitizing application. It also explains updates, additions and bug fixes that may occur which are not in the manual.
To receive your updated Auto-PICT™ QT Manual, return your registration/warranty card to Videomedia. The warranty card is located on the Auto-PICT QT/Premiere brochure in the "Related Products Information" envelope that came with your Adobe Premiere 2.0 software package. Registration will also allow you to receive any Auto-PICT™ QT software updates that may occur.
To start Auto-PICT™ QT, double click on the Auto-PICT™ QT icon. After registration is complete, click on the OK button , your Auto-PICT™ QT application is now registered to you. Fill out the Warranty Card and SEND it to the address listed. You must have personal registration in order to receive any form of technical support. You must send back your Warranty Card to receive future updates and product information.

Auto-PICT™ QT now has an "Add All" button when adding files to a list. This button will add all the files in a desired folder alphabetically.
One additional size has been added to the "Capture Parameters". This size is labeled "Medium" and is 240 x 180 NTSC and 240 x 218 PAL.
The preferences for Auto-PICT™ QT now keeps information about; Node, Pre-roll, Coincidence Time, Capture Parameters, QuickTime Parameters.
Alias naming works properly when adding files to the list. If an alias is added it loads the proper corresponding file.
Uses standard Apple compression dialog for Movies, PICT AND PICS files.
Overlay Playback feature is available when using a NuVista+ as your digitizer board. This allows you to key live video on any color in your animation or file.
Preliminary support of VDIG Capture. The digitizer board must have a software VDIG component. This allows for multiple digitizer board support. RasterOps has been tested fully.
Auto-PICT™ QT allows you to preview your PICT, PICS or MOVIE before adding it to your list.
